Sound waves are converted to sound pressure while traveling from the convergence point to the apex of the exponential curves. This conversion causes the sound waves to dissipate. As the sound wave travels \u201cdownward\u201d from the focal point through the exponential curves, it is converted into sound pressure. This conversion causes the sound waves to dissipate.
