We believe that the three factors that greatly affect the sound quality of a speaker are (1) the sound quality of the speaker drivers used, (2) the shape of the speaker box, and (3) the muffling power of the sound deadening material installed inside the speaker box.

B&W’s Nautilus speakers form each speaker driver box in an exponential shape, silencing 100% of the sound waves radiated inside the speaker box. Although the Japanese sales price is extremely high, these speakers have extremely high sound quality without the influence of reflected waves from the inside of the speaker box.

I challenged myself to develop a speaker box with the same or lower cost than a conventional box-type speaker box with a normal appearance that can muffle 100% of sound waves radiated inside the speaker box. The result is the CRSS (Concave reflection speaker system).

Sound waves radiated inside the CRSS speaker box are converted to 100% sound pressure by the concave reflector and a pair of EXP-curved plates, resulting in 100% muffling of sound waves.

Because the sound waves are 100% silenced inside the CRSS speaker, there are no reflected waves from inside the speaker box, resulting in an accurate stereo image of the music with extremely low distortion and high sound quality.
